Passengers Extra Credit Opportunity
The AP Physics 1 classes are having an extra credit opportunity to see the movie Passengers, about two people on a ship who awake surrounded by cryogenically frozen people, and write an essay about the physics in the movie.
“The movie seems pretty interesting and since it’s set in future space, probably fairly easy to write an essay about its physics,” Jacob Ciotti ‘18 said.
The essay must include three examples of “good physics” or one example of “bad physics” which were shown in the movie, connecting the physics to what they have learned in class. It will be one free quiz grade in the grade book.
