HOSA Hosts First Lecture in Series
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) held their first lecture series on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 8 a.m.. During the lecture, health medical officials discussed what they do in their daily lives and how they make the world a safer place.
Two health professionals, Ms. Lisa Jennings and Mr. Eric Gordon, attended the meeting to teach students interested in the health field. Ms. Jennings is an employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) while Mr. Gordon is a paramedic, so they were able to give insight about their careers to curious students.
“Since I’m pretty interested in health careers, I enjoyed hearing the impact that these people make in the medical field,” Nikitha Majjiga ‘19 said. “It was a great way to start off the first lecture series.”
