To raise money, students showed the cashier a flyer to prove that they want to help out Westwood HOSA.

HOSA held its annual fundraiser at Chipotle on Wed., Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. If students purchased meals and presented a Westwood HOSA flyer during this time, HOSA would receive half of the proceeds that were earned. Most students came directly after school to order their meal, and the line was so packed that it flooded out the doors.

“I think the HOSA fundraiser was a good idea since many people are more likely to purchase food to fundraise,” Niveya James ‘18 said. “They should definitely do this again because the fundraiser encourages families to buy multiple meals at Chipotle, which gives the club more money to support the students.”

To prove that the student helped raise money, a receipt would have to be shown to one of the officers. Students were especially motivated to participate because by buying a meal, they earned one fundraiser point to be able to compete in Area.
