Westwood Theater students visited the amazing Texas Educational Theater Association convention in Galveston, Texas for 3 days of learning all about acting, writing and directing theater.

Written in the late 19th century, The Murder by Anton Chekhov follows Matvey Terehov, a devout Eastern Orthodox Christian, and explores the harmful effects of his religious fanaticism. In the story, Chekhov calls out the characters' tendencies to exploit religious rites only when beneficial to them, an issue still prevalent in today's society.

Standing in a forced arch position, clarinet players Maxwell Fullerton '27 and John Magdaleno '28 complete their choreography. Often throughout the show, students must perform choreography and play music simultaneously.
