Boys’ Golf Hosts Invitational and Claims Win
On Monday, Dec. 5, the Boys’ golf team held an invitational at Balcones Country Club and competed against various schools within the district. Playing diligently and cheering each other on, the team flourished with a win at their first home match of the year.
In the strong tournament field, Jonathan Kim ’24 accumulated a score of 69, driving him to a first-place finish. Following close behind with a score of 72, Luke Hagan ’23 earned third place in the tournament.
“I didn’t know I was going to be first, but I tried my best and focused till the end,” Kim said. “I used to give up in the middle after a bad round, but this time, I kept everything together and finished strong.”
The golf team will compete next at the Aggie Cup from Monday, Jan. 16-17.
