JV Softball Falls to Rouse 8-3

The Lady Warriors JV softball team went into their game on April 5 with high hopes and a strong attitude, but suffered a heartbreaking loss against Rouse with a score of 8-3 in four innings.

“The girls worked so hard and they’re doing better every game,” Coach Jennifer Scazzero said. “There’s lots of room for improvement, but the girls did well.”

Rouse scored many of their points in the second inning, topping at five, but the girls still fought their hardest showing each showing endless determination to come out with a win.

“I think I made a lot of progress that game,” said Nicole Duval ‘18. “I’ve spent quite a few months practicing pitching and it was one of my best games. I feel as though I really helped the team.”

The girls remain positive as they continue through their season, explaining their team chemistry is like no other.

“We really love each other. There’s not one person in our team that anyone dislikes, it’s so great,” Presley Meredith ‘18 said.

The girls’ next game is on April 8.
