During the week leading up to Valentine’s Day 2022, Westwood Robotics is hosting their first-ever keychain fundraiser until Friday, Feb. 11, selling items before and after school. Utilizing the Westwood maker space and colored filament, the Robotics team plans to take orders for Valentine-themed keychain designs and distribute them to English classes by Monday, Feb. 14.

“We make the keychains after finding blueprints online,” team member Gianna Romeu ‘23 said. “We then add the designs to the 3D printers in the maker space, print them, and attach them to keychains ourselves before we give them out.”

The funds will be used for t-shirts and materials that will help out Robotics for the remainder of the year. The club’s marketing department organized the fundraiser. Fellow Robotics members, as well as other Westwood Students, have already made their contributions. To learn more about the Robotics team and their events, visit this website.
