RRISD Issues Late Start Amid Winter Weather

On Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 3:13 p.m., the Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) announced the decision to delay classes and bus routes by two hours across the district on Thursday, Feb. 24 due to predicted weather conditions. With yet another winter weather advisory in place as sudden flurries of rain and freezing temperatures settle over the city once again, RRISD has made the decision as a safety precaution.

Classes will start at 11:05 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24. All after-school activities taking place after 7 p.m. on Wednesday and before school on Thursday have also been canceled. Honestly, I wasnt even photographing it, I was just experiencing it,” Mr. Youn said. “You know, we built it up and the anticipation was incredibly high, but experiencing it was cooler than I anticipated.”

UT representative Patrick Patterson describes the importance of teaching kids to be academically honest from an early age. He was one of three UT representatives speaking at the academic integrity seminar on Thursday, March 22. What you have to do as a community is get together with the administration, Patterson said. Create your own honor code. Involve as many folks and kids and adults, as many as possible. Create that honor code and stick to it.

On the red carpet outside the Long Center, 44 members of the Mean Girls production cast and crew pose before the Heller Award ceremony.
