Outreach Club Officers explain the purpose of the club to new members. Outreach Club offers students opportunities to gain volunteer hours.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4th, Outreach Club held its second meeting of the year. Outreach Club is a student-led club that offers students the opportunity to gain volunteering hours through various activities.

During the meeting, club officers reviewed the club’s point system, as well as upcoming events that members can participate in to gain points and help the community. This month, Outreach Club is holding a canned food drive and a card-making event for the elderly. Members can also make virtual cranes for children cancer patients, and write letters for people struggling with mental health problems. Members are able to help with these events throughout the next month.

“Since last year, I’ve been involved with Outreach and it’s been an amazing experience for me,” Outreach Club member Sahiti Oruganti ‘25 said. “I’ve gained a significant sense of satisfaction and happiness by helping others, and the Outreach community is just so friendly and welcoming.”

You can find more information about Outreach Club on their website. Outreach Club holds meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, and their next meeting will be held on Nov. 1 at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in Mr. Clapp’s room.
