Bright purple lights illuminated the corners of the gym floor for the annual black light pep rally on Friday, Nov. 3.

The last pep rally of the fall semester started with triumphant updates on fall sports from the team captains. Afterwards, students sitting in the bleachers cheered for performances by the cheerleaders, Warrior Pride, the SunDancers, and K-pop club.

The penultimate performance consisted of Lerchen Zhong ‘26 and Peter Kim ‘24 presenting a musical play-off on their violins. The showdown included songs such as Niccolò Paganini’s Caprice No. 24, and Toxic by Britney Spears.

“Lerchen and Peter’s performances were very entertaining,” Amogh Akella ‘26 said. “Their tone and technique was great and it was overall amazing to watch.”

Finally, the Diablo Club, formerly the Chinese Yo-yo Club, took the floor to wrap up the pep rally with a performance complete with light-up diablos and neon tape.

“Even though we spent less time preparing for our performance [compared to last year], I think it turned out good [because] we practiced more consistently and with a larger set of tricks,” Diablo Club performer Sam Yarbrough ‘26 said. “I think we improved and I appreciate my teammates’ effort.”
