Sweet Berry Farm Welcomes Visitors

berrybasketSweet Berry Farms, located in Marble Falls, TX, is a big attraction during the fall season. With a giant pumpkin patch, cornfield mazes, flower picking, horseback riding, goat feeding, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin painting, and hayrides, Sweet Berry Farms definitely isn’t lacking in things to do.

During the spring and summer months, Sweet Berry Farms has open picking for a variety of fruits and vegetables including strawberries, blackberries, peaches, tomatoes, onions, and potatoes for prices ranging from $1 to $3.25 per pound.

Throughout the fall, the farm is busy with activity; its main attraction is a large variety of pumpkins and gourds available for purchase all around the farm and the friendly environment overall. The farm has something for everyone. From goat feeding to face painting, the farm offers many activities for all ages.

Kids can paint pumpkins, get a face painting, make sand art, and even ride horses. There are also two mazes at the farm. The Candy Corn Maze, designed for kids to enjoy as they try to find their way through to the candy corn shaped bell at the end, and a larger, more difficult maze. The Texas Maze is intricately designed to be more challenging and is shaped like Texas. Everyone is invited to pet and feed the goats, donkeys, and horses. In addition to pony rides for the kids, anyone can enjoy a hayride pulled by tractor around the length of the farm. The farm also offers activities for families to do do together like scarecrow stuffing in which you get to pick your scarecrow’s clothes, draw a face, and stuff it with hay! Sweet Berry Farms also has an enormous flower patch where you can hand in your ticket, grab a pair of scissors and a bag with water and get pickin’! As far as food goes, you can purchase delicious homemade ice cream that is made right on the farm and there is also an assortment of jams available.

The environment of the farm is very inviting and full of many people (especially on weekends). The farm stretches across the highway, utilizing tunnels under the road to easily go back and forth between the two sides. When you arrive, if you want to participate in the activities such as the mazes and hayrides, you must purchase tickets which usually range from $1 to $4 dollars per ticket.

Sweet Berry Farms is a great place for the whole family to get into the spirit of fall and enjoy all of the fall activities.

About the Contributor
Maddi Wilcox, Reporter
Hi I’m Maddi, and this will be my second year on the student press staff and my third year in the journalism department. My passion is photography, but consequently I have found that journalism photography doesn’t interest me as much as photographing nature and landscapes. I have also found over this past year that I love to write and decided to take on the role of a reporter. I try my best to maintain a healthy diet that consists of Hot Cheetos and chai tea and most of my spare time I spend watching and rewatching episodes of Daredevil and Arrow. I’m really looking forward to another great year on staff :)
