Cheerfully bring the fall semester to a close, members from the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) crafted ornaments for teachers at their last creative meeting of the semester from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, in Sponsor Jesus Ramirez’s room.
As the long-awaited break approached, members collected colorful ornaments and tied fishing lines to the end, setting them up to be hung on the ceiling of the teachers’ lounge. The goal was to bring holiday spirit to teachers as they navigated through finals week.
“The Christmas ornaments would make the teachers feel appreciated and get them into a festive mood,” NAHS Vice President Swasthiya Mahesh ‘27 said. “It’s hard being a teacher, especially close to finals, and these little things that we do for them can go a long way.”
Although a seemingly small gesture, creating these ornaments gave students a way to show their teachers simple appreciation and bring light to their day.
“I think it reminds people that someone is thinking of them, and those small kinds of acts can really make someone say thank you,” NAHS President Ella Kim ‘26 said.
